Narbada Devi Morarka Charitable Trust has been providing free medical facilities to the employees of Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Limited and the local people in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. On 23rd October 1994, Narbada Devi Morarka Charitable Trust was founded with the objective of conducting health and rural development programmes in the area. Since then, the trust has played significant role in providing relief to people affected by diseases.

As its activities received encouraging response and support from people, it was felt that the area should have a proper hospital to provide extensive health care facilities. Accordingly, Narbada Devi Medical Centre was inaugurated in Dwarikesh Nagar (Near Nagina, Najibabad, District Bijnor) on 10th February 2000. This three bed medical centre provides hospitalization facility to those who need it. The hospital has modern equipments and diagnostic facilities apart from the services of two experienced doctors and two compounders.

Narbada Devi Medical Centre conducts regular health check-ups on employees of Dwarikesh group and also provides vaccination facilities. It also organises health awareness and blood donation camps. People from nearby areas also benefit from free health and medical camps conducted by NDMC. The hospital takes assistance from expert doctors from Apollo hospital, Fortis hospital and other renowned institutions to bring high quality consultation services to local people’s doorstep.

Dental check up camps, Heart disease check up camps, Physiotherapy camps, Eye camps, Hepatitis B vaccination camps etc. are a regular feature at Narbada Devi Medical Centre. Dwarikesh group runs two other plants in Uttar Pradesh other than in Bundki (Near Najibabad). These are in Afzalgarh (Bijnor) and Faridpur (Bareilly). Narbada Devi Morarka Charitable Trust is providing quality health facilities in these areas as well.

NDMC has been organizing health camps since 1999 and on many occasions it works in tandem with the local administration. Apart from providing medical assistance, medicines worth lakhs have been distributed among the needy on a regular basis. Handicapped have received due attention from the trust which has organized many camps for the disabled in association with other social service organizations such as Kalyanam Karoti, Mathura, and ‘Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Jaipur. Thousands of disabled people have received calipers, artificial limbs, tricycles, wheel chairs, hearing aids and other equipment to make their lives easier. Polio operations have also been conducted by doctors in the operation theatre of Narbada Devi Medical Centre.
